Povzetek: Parameters, which influence the irregularity of the response in the traverse direction of typical European viaducts, are studied. It is supposed that the behaviour is considerable from that obtained by single mode static analysis. Both, elastic and inelastic procedures are applied. The most important parameters, which influence the behaviour of the bridge include: the ratio between the stiffness of the deck and that of the bents, eccentricity, the ratio between the torsional and translational stiffnesses of the viaduct, and the type of constrains at the abutments. An attempt was also made to evaluate the level of irregularity numerically. Two "regularity indices" applicable for the analysed viaducts have been proposed. They are based on the comparison of the displacement shapes obtained within the two iterations of the single mode static analysis. It was concluded that the viaducts with the pinned abutments are, in general, more irregular than those with roller supports above the abutments [COBISS.SI-ID 865633]
